LoadLens

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Introduction

LoadLens (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we may share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

By using LoadLens, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Name (if supplied during account setup)
  • Email address
  • Account credentials (password stored in encrypted form only)
  • Check-in data: numeric ratings for mental effort, demand, time pressure, frustration, energy remaining, and recovery
  • Free-text journal and reflection entries you choose to enter
  • Weekly reflections and closing sentences
  • Personal Compass responses (values, barriers)
  • AI conversation transcripts generated within the app
  • Pattern analysis data derived from your check-in history
  • Subscription status and billing history (processed via Stripe)
  • Device information required for app functionality (operating system, app version)
  • App usage information necessary to deliver the service

We do not use advertising networks, cross-site tracking cookies, or any analytics service that identifies individual users for commercial purposes.

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to:

  • Provide and operate the LoadLens service
  • Generate personalised AI insights based on your check-in data
  • Display your historical trends and patterns over time
  • Deliver weekly reflections and progress summaries
  • Improve app performance and reliability
  • Process subscription payments securely
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Maintain the security and integrity of your account

We do not use your personal information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside the delivery of the LoadLens service.

AI processing

AI-generated insights, weekly reflections, and deep reflection conversations are produced using trusted third-party AI providers, currently OpenAI. When you request an insight or reflection, your check-in data — including any free-text you have entered — is securely transmitted to the AI provider for processing.

LoadLens uses OpenAI's API under a data-processing agreement that prohibits OpenAI from using API-submitted data to train its models. Your data is processed in transit and is not retained by OpenAI beyond the requirements of that agreement.

Your data is never sold. LoadLens does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party under any circumstances.

If you prefer to minimise the amount of narrative data shared for AI processing, you can complete check-ins using numeric ratings only, without entering free-text.

Data storage and security

All data is securely stored using Supabase infrastructure, a cloud database platform that applies industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit, and strict access controls.

Row-level security policies are applied at the database level so that each user can only access their own records. No other user — including LoadLens administrators — can access your personal data through the application layer.

While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to sign out of shared devices.

Data sharing

LoadLens does not sell your personal information. We share data only with the trusted service providers that are strictly necessary to operate the service:

  • Supabase — database hosting and authentication infrastructure
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
  • OpenAI — AI insight and reflection generation (via API, under data-processing agreement)

Each provider is required to handle your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws and their own data-processing commitments. We do not share your data with any other third party without your explicit consent, except where required by law.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information LoadLens holds about you
  • Export your data (available via Settings → Data & Privacy → Export)
  • Correct any inaccurate information associated with your account
  • Delete your account and all associated data (available via Settings → Danger Zone)
  • Request deletion of your stored information by contacting us directly
  • Withdraw consent for data processing (by deleting your account)

To exercise any of these rights, email support@loadlens.com.au with the subject line “LoadLens data request”. We will respond within 30 days.

Deleting your account through the app will permanently and irreversibly remove all check-ins, insights, reflections, and account credentials from our systems.

Children's privacy

LoadLens is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@loadlens.com.au and we will promptly delete that information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you — for example by displaying a notice within the app.

Continued use of LoadLens after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
